Timber Stabling

Our timber external stabling is built to last with a sturdy 3" x 2" framework clad with a choice of T&G, Log effect T&G or Shiplap cladding and fully treated with high quality preservative whilst all metal fittings are fully galvanised. The stable can be internally lined with a choice of plywoods or OSB boarding.

We custom build each order so minor alterations to standard designs can be added at no extra cost to yourself, as well as enabling us to provide you with a stabling solution that best utilises your available space.

Specialising in carrying out your complete project including design, groundworks, utility supply and landscaping we are equally happy to simply supply the stables for you to erect yourself.

We also feel our aftersales support is an important part of our service and so we are always available in the weeks following the completion of our work to return to make any required alterations or offer any advice you may need.

This installation comprised of:

• Black Onduline apex roof.
• 8 10 x 10 foot boxes for use within horse transport business.
• 25 mm V shaped T&G Boarding.
• Sliding doors with anti-weave guard and anti-chew strips throughout.
• Fully lined with OSB board.
• Louvre vent in each box for extra air circulaton.
• Single skylight in each stable for extra light.

Original design was all on one level but during groundworks it was found this would not be possible due to difference in ground height. The customer contacted us and we altered our plans accordingly at no extra cost.

This installation comprised of:

• 4 12 x 12 foot stables and one 8 x 10 foot tack room in Cleveland.
• Built on two levels due to ground conditions.
• 19mm fully treated log effect T&G board.
• Lined with OSB board to 4 foot.
• One top opening window in each stable for added light and ventilation.
• Heavy Duty galvanised hinges and bolts.

Our Standard Stable Specification

Roof:

• 100x47mm pressure treated and regularised softwood timber purlins
• Black onduline roof with one sky light per stable.
• 4’ Underdrawn canopy to front of all stables

Timber Frame:

• 75mm x 47mm regularised softwood.

Cladding:

• 19mm x 125mm pressure treated redwood. Your choice of shiplap or tongue and groove.
• Pressure treated in clear, green or brown.

Stable Lining:

• Lined to 4’ with 11mm OSB boarding on all walls and to the eaves on one side of partition walls.

Windows:

• 900mm x 600mm fixed window. Glazed in impact resistant perspex with galvanised weld mesh grill for extra safety.

Doors:

• 1220mm wide doors manufactured from 19mm x 125mm tongue and groove over a timber frame lined internally with exterior grade plywood.
• Hinges are 24’’ heavy duty galvanised hook and band hinges.
• 2’’ deep anti-chew strips fitted to the top of all bottom doors.

Guttering:

• Maintenance free guttering to the front of all buildings.

All fixings used in the manufacture of our timber buildings are heavy duty galvanized for maximum protection from the weather.

• Onduline roof available in brown, green and red.
• Fibre cement roof available
• 100mm x 47mm timber frame for increased strength.
• Log effect cladding.
• We are happy to stain your building to any colour to fit with regulations or existing buildings.
• Lining available in 18mm OSB, plywood or stokboard.
• Lining to the eaves or roof on all walls is also available.
• 900x600mm top opening window available for improved ventilation.
• Louvre vents to the back of each stable
• Sliding doors.
• Extra deep anti chew strips.
• Guttering to the rear of the building.
• A range of water drinkers, troughs, hay racks etc is available.

 

Lined with OSB board providing protection for both the horse and the stable wall.
